Christmas in the Sun

This year was a Truman year. We were able to go to California and spend some quality time with The Trumans. It was so warm it was unbelievable! Christmas day we were living it up on the beach... Pretty weird Christmas... with no snow but I'll take nice and sunny any day!!

One of the best shots from Christmas. We got her a dog! A fake one of course! With a caring case that had her name on it. She was pretty excited as you can tell. It was so fun! Can't wait for have our own kids and watch them at Christmas!

Yahh for Christmas! Billy Joel here we come!

A day at the beach just would't be the same with out some quality football!

Love this picture of Ben teaching all the little T's a good route to take for a touchdown.

Second Half of Christmas

Our christmas wasn't over after California! We were able to go to Utah and see our family and friend! I love our visits to Utah. We are very blessed to be able to travel to Utah as often as we do.

What a nice day for shooting stuff :) I tired to shoot a shotgun.... didn't go so well. Right when I pulled the trigger my arm about came off. It killed so bad! I wanted to cry... but everyone made me do it one more time... I still wasn't able to hit anything but at least I have some battle wounds to show off how good I am at shooting haha!

This holiday season was wonderful! I am so grateful for the true meaning of Christmas. Sometimes it gets pushed on the back burner but it never should. The birth of the savior is the most important thing to celebrate during this season. I need to try harder to incorporate Christ not only at Christmas but throughout the whole year!

Successful Halloween

Happy Halloween! It's a little late but I wanted to make sure and post. This year we decided to be a Valet and a Ladies Maid from "Downton Abbey" Obviously we love that show. It seems to be a theme with us to always do characters from our favorite TV shows.

Ben's costume was a hit this year! Everyone loved it and he played the part really well!  He had the perfect mustache and smile for it:) This costume was so easy to do. All we had to get was a bow tie which was made out of ribbon by my sweet mom. Then, just purchased some white gloves. The suit was Ben's and he just pulled up the collar to make it look like theirs in the movie.

Lucky enough my mom had this costume that I was able to borrow :)

Chad and Catherine dressed up as their favorite charters from "Parks and Recreation" Chad was Ron Swanson and Catherine was Leslie Nope! They did such a great job and played the part the whole night. I loved their costume idea!!

Rhonda and Scott dressed up as "Mr. Clean and Mrs. Dirty" Such a clever costume. I was dying over how much Scott looked like Mr. Clean!

We had an eventful night, we went to the blowing and played laser tag! Can't wait for next years party! Thanks guys.

I am so lucky to have this guy in my life! He is so thoughtful and is always taking care of our family! <3 love you babe!

Christmas in Utah!

Christmas in Utah!! We are so excited!!

Utah!! Yahh! Loved seeing my parents house and the pretty christmas tree!

Glad to see this little guy and all the snow!! Crazy we had nothing close to this in Nashville!!

Ben and I were especially excited to see his little one!! She is getting so big! Love her so much

Uncle Ben is so sweet! He loved singing to Poppy and she would just sit and stare at him... she loved it

Christmas tradition!! We always have crepes Christmas morning... one of our families favorite thing!!! I could really use some right now!

For Christmas we all got NERF GUNS!! It was the best gift! We had a huge war with everyone in the basement. I never laughed harder. I am lucky to have a family who still likes to play and mess around.... can't wait to see how it will be when we all start having our own kids... even more wild haha!

Family Photo!! We seem to never be able to get a family photo.. this one turned out pretty good though!!

So we went to dinner right after seeing Les Mis... We were still in the Les Mis mood so we all sang our orders to the waiter!! This is a typical day for our family! It was one of the funniest things I have ever heard/seen! One of the best moments of the trip!!

Sad day.... We went to visit Ollie's headstone Christmas eve... We lit candles and put them around the headstone. We all sang Silent Night and it was bitter sweet. We all thought of Ollie's name when they say "all it bright" We all said Ollie's bright. I had never heard the song that way... but now I will never forget that! The picture on the right is on Christmas eve as well. Tiffany and Christopher made all of us shirts with Ollie's face of them! It is such a precious gift!
GO BYU!!

Sledding was a blast! Such a great hill and fun group of people!!

Nashville Tribute Band at the Tabernacle! Truman was able to play that night as well as play with NTB! Such a great show!! Loved seeing these boys!!

Last but not least!! Costa Vida of course! A Trip to Utah wouldn't be complete with out a stop at this place!! Unreal food! I hope it comes to Nashville one day!

All and all this trip was amazing! I didn't want to leave, but I was glad I got to spend time with my family!! I am so grateful for them and for the times we shared! oxox

Halloween!!

Took me a while to get up these pictures! Happy Halloween! This is our finished product...Of course we did the Apple symbol because Ben loves Apple! Good family night at Wendee's

One of the things I found on Pinterest. It turned out really well! All I did was put water into a glove, then put a rubber band around it... then stuck it in the freezer. After it was all frozen I cut of the glove and it was ready to go! An easy way to make the punch spooky!

Another thing I found online. These were a little more time consuming... but not too bad. I just got some old bottles from Goodwill  (D.I.) and stuck a candle inside and let it melt. I had a good time making these.. Halloween decorations are fun to make!! I'm saving them for next year too!

Ben and I dressed up as characters from our favorite comedies! I was Amanda Bynes in She's the Man If you haven't seen it you'll love it! It was different acting like a guy.. but Ben seemed to like it.. jk.  Ben was "number 4" from Multiplicity  These show gets quoted all day at the Truman home. This was one of my favorite outfits and I know it was Ben's as well.

So during the party I leaned over to kiss Ben and he was a little freaked out... He couldn't get over the wig.... I guess I play a good man!

The gang at the party! Such a great night! We ate tons that night! We Played Body Body and Mafia. Some awesome games with a big group! Same thing next year.. just more game time! ( all our Utah friend are invited... so get flights now! )   :)
